Our base is a state-of-the-art 100 seat call centre in Nottingham, where we are ready to answer calls 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. With the capacity to sell over 300,000 tickets in one day, it is not surprising that we have recently been advertised as the main box office for acts and events such as Oasis, Glastonbury, Robbie Williams and V2002. Recently we have expanded into Theatre and Special Event ticketing, and in 2000 were appointed as the sole agent for the London Ideal Home Show. We also provide box office services to a number of media partners, including the NME and EMAP. On average we process and despatch some 80,000 orders a month. Every year, thousands of concertgoers travel to see their favourite bands on our coaches.
Way Ahead began selling tickets on the Internet in 1997, and now has extensive online interests with a variety of partners. Customers can book tickets for any event in real time, with secure credit card processing and confirmation taking place while the customer is online. The Internet now accounts for over 40% of total sales, a figure which continues to increase. Our commitment to New Media is further underlined by a cross-platform presence on Interactive TV.
